1. High filtration accuracy: The coverage filter uses extremely fine powdered filter material to form a filter membrane, which can effectively intercept tiny suspended solids and colloids in water, achieving a filtration accuracy of 5 μ m or even finer. For some occasions with high water quality requirements, such as condensate polishing, it can meet their filtration needs and reduce the iron content and other impurities in the water to a lower level, making the treated water more pure
2. Large interception capacity: Its filter membrane has a certain thickness and pore structure, which can accommodate more impurities. It can filter uniformly throughout the entire length/resin coating filtration, and has a high interception capacity throughout the entire length. During the filtration process, impurities in the water will gradually accumulate on the surface and pores of the filter membrane until a certain degree of pollution is reached before cleaning or replacing the filter membrane. Therefore, compared to some ordinary filters, it can handle more water in one filtration cycle
3. Good filtration efficiency: Under normal operating conditions, the covered filter can maintain a relatively stable filtration efficiency. After impact tests, it has been proven that the average iron content in the effluent of the system can still be controlled at 29.8 μ g/L even when the incoming iron content fluctuates between 70-200 μ g/L
5. Long operating cycle: In general, the filtration cycle of the covered filter can reach about 7-10 days. The specific operating cycle will be affected by various factors such as inlet water quality, flow rate, and filter material performance. However, overall, the relatively long operating cycle reduces the frequency of equipment cleaning and maintenance, and lowers operating costs
6. Convenient cleaning and regeneration: The cleaning process mainly includes operations such as bursting and backwashing. Through these operations, the failed filter membrane on the outer side of the filter element can be removed and rinsed with water for replacement. The filter element is specially designed, such as using 304 stainless steel porous support tubes, which can withstand the instantaneous high-pressure impact generated during resin bursting and backwashing, ensuring that the filter element does not deform and the polypropylene fiber material does not fall off, ensuring the safe operation of the condensate treatment system. The entire cleaning and regeneration process generally only takes 1-1.5 hours, which is much shorter than the mixed bed regeneration time, and can quickly restore the performance of the filter and put it into the next operating cycle
7. Small equipment footprint: The structure covering the filter is relatively compact, and the equipment installed with this filter element has a large output and small footprint. The main plant is easy to arrange, and in some places with limited space, such as power plants, the advantage of small footprint is more obvious, which can better adapt to site requirements
8. Low operating costs: Due to its high filtration efficiency, long operating cycle, and convenient cleaning and regeneration, the comprehensive cost of covering the filter during long-term operation is relatively low. In addition, the system is simple, without the consumption of acid and alkali and the pollution of regenerated acid and alkali waste. The waste is easy to handle, which is beneficial for environmental protection and also reduces operating and environmental costs to a certain extent
